Do you thrive where operational precision and financial understanding come together?

As Lead Backoffice Controller, you play a leading role in strengthening and developing the operational setup behind our trading activities across power, gas and certificates.

With hands-on controlling, you are responsible for the day-to-day coordination and prioritisation within the backoffice team, ensuring stable operations, clear ownership and high quality in execution. At the same time, you act as a key link between daily operations and ongoing development – driving automation initiatives, improving processes and challenging existing workflows.

Working closely with Trading, Risk, Finance and IT, you ensure trades move accurately from execution to settlement, while contributing to the continuous development of the backoffice setup and, over time, taking an active role in developing the team and its capabilities.


DIVE INTO WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS WILL BE

You work close to the operational heartbeat of the business, where accurate data, strong processes and timely follow-through are essential. Alongside the daily controlling activities, you help challenge and improve how we work across settlements, reconciliations and post-trade workflows.


Your mission is to:

  • Take the lead and hands-on responsibility for trade-related controlling activities across our trading operations
  • Ensure accurate trade validation, reconciliation and settlement with a strong focus on data quality
  • Drive optimisation initiatives with a focus on automation and smarter workflows
  • Use data actively to identify improvements and support operational decisions
  • Collaborate closely with Trading, Finance, Risk and IT to improve post-trade processes
  • Support month-end activities related to settlements and financial reporting.

You’ll join our Finance & Risk Operations team, where controlling, technology and market understanding come together to support both trading and customer activities.

We work hands-on with daily and monthly operations while continuously improving how we automate, streamline and strengthen our processes. You’ll play an leading role in both the operational work and the ongoing improvements around it.

You thrive in environments where operational precision, structure and continuous improvement go hand in hand. You naturally take ownership, challenge existing ways of working and help create better solutions through data, collaboration and strong operational insight.


We imagine that you bring:

  • Five+ years of experience within controlling, back office, trade support or financial operations
  • Experience with hands-on professional leadership, specialist responsibility or coordination across operational processes
  • Strong analytical and data-driven capabilities, with an interest in optimisation, automation and process improvements
  • Strong Excel skills and curiosity for working with systems, data and automation tools
  • Experience from the energy sector is beneficial, though not mandatory
  • Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
