We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function of our Philippines subsidiary. This role is responsible for ensuring robust financial control, full compliance with local statutory and tax regulations, and the integrity of all financial reporting. The role acts as the local finance guardian, bridging between the Regional Finance organization and local operations. The position reports to the Regional Finance Director, APAC.


The Finance Manager will oversee daily financial operations, coordinate with the SSC for bookkeeping and reporting, support business decision-making, and ensure proper safeguarding of company assets.


Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Control & Governance

  • Own the integrity and accuracy of local financial records and ensure compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Oversee the SSC’s work in areas of AR, AP, GL, fixed assets, and payroll accounting.
  • Review all local journal entries, payments, and reconciliations prepared by SSC.
  • Maintain and enforce financial control procedures (e.g., approval matrices, expense claims, petty cash, procurement).
  • Ensure segregation of duties in cash, asset, and payroll handling.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks and reconciliations of cash advances, petty cash, and fixed assets.


2. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Establish and monitor compliance with internal control policies and Group standards.
  • Ensure all statutory filings (tax, SEC, BIR, PEZA, etc.) are accurate and timely.
  • Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and regulators.


3. Treasury & Cash Management

  • Oversee bank account management, cash flow forecasting, and funding requirements.
  • Implement robust approval processes for payments, with appropriate dual authorization.
  • Monitor usage of petty cash (where applicable).


4. Budgeting & Reporting

  • Support the Country Manager and APAC FP&A team in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze monthly performance and explain variances versus budget.
  • Provide financial insight and commentary to management on profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure timely submission of management reports to regional HQ.


5. Operational & Cross-functional Support

  • Partner with HR on payroll validation, staff cost allocation, and incentive payouts.
  • Support sales operations on credit control, contract review, and pricing analysis.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of relevant finance experience, ideally with 2–3 years in a leadership or controllership role.
  • Experience working in multinational or matrix organizations.
  • Familiarity with Philippine tax laws and statutory reporting (BIR, SEC, SSS, etc.).
  • Prior exposure to shared service or remote accounting models is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
