Job description: Engineer / Senior Engineer– Electronics Purchase

Location: Krishnagiri, Hosur

You Will

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Electronics Purchase professional to manage procurement planning and supplier coordination for electronic components. The candidate will work closely with suppliers, PPC, Production, Quality, Stores, Finance, and Sourcing teams to ensure uninterrupted production and optimized inventory management.

To Be Successful, You Will Be Expected To

• Circulate rolling 52-week schedules to suppliers and ensure timely communication.
• Follow up with suppliers and ensure acknowledgment of schedules within 2 days from the date of release.
• Coordinate with the PPC team to ensure timely availability of materials to meet daily production targets.
• Conduct periodic reviews of child part shortages such as PCB, active, and passive components with suppliers and initiate timely escalations wherever required.
• Work closely with suppliers and the sourcing team to resolve pricing-related issues within the required timeline.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PPC, Production, Quality, and Stores to meet production requirements effectively.
• Obtain SOA (Statement of Account) from suppliers and coordinate with the Finance team to ensure on-time payments. Escalate concerns proactively whenever required.
• Ensure RTV (Return to Vendor) of rejected materials within 7 days.
• Maintain balanced inventory levels while ensuring zero line stoppage due to material shortages.
• Monitor supplier performance and support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement operations.

You must have any or a combination of any of the following skills:

• Diploma in ECE / EEE with 5–7 years of experience OR Degree in ECE / EEE with 3–4 years of experience.
• Prior experience in EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services/Solutions) industry is mandatory.
• Good understanding of electronic components, PCB assemblies, and supply chain processes.
• Strong coordination, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel is preferred.
