Job Title: Medical Checkout Position (Patient Access Representative)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Checkout Member to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient patient discharge process, providing excellent service and support to patients as they conclude their visit or treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with the checkout process, including billing, scheduling follow-up appointments, and providing necessary documentation.
- Verify patient information and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Coordinate with medical staff and insurance providers to facilitate smooth billing and payment procedures.
- Address patient inquiries related to billing, appointments, and post-visit instructions.
- Maintain accurate records of patient transactions and interactions.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy policies during all checkout procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional healthcare-related certifications are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Prior experience in healthcare administration or patient services is preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and billing software.
