Redstone is supporting a leading international banking institution in the search for a Global Trade & Commodity (GTC) Sales professional to join its growing team within the Commodity Trade Finance division in Switzerland.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven banking professional to develop and manage relationships with clients in the commodities trading sector, structuring and originating tailored working capital financing solutions within a highly reputable global platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain ongoing relationships with a portfolio of commodities trading clients, ensuring strong commercial engagement and pipeline visibility
- Originate, structure, and develop tailored working capital financing solutions to meet client needs
- Prepare and contribute to credit proposals, including pricing recommendations for transactions
- Manage profitability across assigned client relationships and product lines within GTC
- Coordinate utilisation of transactional credit facilities with internal account management teams
- Support onboarding of new clients in collaboration with CIB coverage bankers
- Monitor global client activity and ensure up-to-date client information and risk awareness
- Stay informed on relevant market trends, commodities sectors, regulatory updates, and product developments
- Represent the bank at external client events and marketing initiatives
- Coordinate cross-product solutions across wider banking platforms where required (including GMD, ERA, and CLF products)
Candidate Profile
- Strong understanding of the commodities trading ecosystem and trade finance structures
- Proven experience in working capital financing within a banking or financial services environment
- Familiarity with products such as forfaiting, reverse forfaiting, inventory finance, and cash management solutions
- Experience managing or supporting a portfolio of commodity-sector clients
- Strong credit and structuring understanding with ability to support credit proposals
- Excellent client-facing and relationship management skills
- Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration ability
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and commercially disciplined approach
- High level of ownership, commitment, and professional integrity
