Key Activities:
- BUILD ? Project building
- Design, test, and deploy new security controls, tools, and dashboards to strengthen the client?s defensive posture.
- Collaborate with the client?s Security Manager to propose and build the mid/long-term cybersecurity strategy.
- Work with Infrastructure, Risk, and other teams to embed security by design principle.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize controls to mitigate cybersecurity risks, aiming to stay below the cyber-risk appetite.
- Follow and propose changes to security policies, process, and procedures, ensuring alignment with the client?s cyber-security roadmap.
- Conduct continuous threat-intelligence and deep-dive analyses on new attack vectors, adapting defenses in anticipation.
- RUN ? Day-to-Day Operations
- Work hand-in-glove with the Security Manager, acting as trusted advisor, to guarantee seamless execution of the security roadmap and rapid decision-making.
- Oversee daily security operations: monitor alerts in real time, analyze logs, and respond swiftly to incidents.
- Continuously track the client?s risk exposure, triggering and coordinating the complete incident-response workflow whenever needed.
- Conduct scheduled security audits and vulnerability scans to reveal gaps and non-compliance.
- Produce detailed incident reports, document corrective actions, and follow them through to closure.
- Provide on-call cybersecurity expertise to the client?s IT and Production teams, ensuring smooth, secure operations.
- Enforce the client?s security program and meet the client group?s cybersecurity-plan requirements: maintain full traceability for audits, knowing that the client?s CISO retains final authority to influence and decide on security-related matters.
- Qualifications & Certificates
- Bachelor's, master's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, software engineering, or equivalent by experience.
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or Information Security Expert. Experience in a development company would be an asset.
- In-depth understanding of cybersecurity technologies, protocols, and best practices.
- Cyber Security certifications would be an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Cyber Security related topics (Vulnerability Management, Asset Management, Malware Protection, Application Security, IAM, etc.).
- Knowledge and understanding of financial markets, regulations and industry-specific technology trends is a plus.
- Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role or 5 years in another role with a strong affection for cyber security topics.
- Good overall technical knowledge in many of these topics: Vulnerability Management, Network, Systems, IAM, Cloud, Virtualization (VMware), Active Directory, O365, Hardening,
- Experience with one or many of these IT security tools is an asset: SentinelOne, One Identity, Rapid7, Action1, Menlo Security, Axonius, Fortinet (EMS, Authenticator, Fortigate), Cisco ISE, VEEAM Backup, Microsoft PureView.
