Oxford Builders is looking for an Account Manager to join our team in our Houston office.

This person will operate as the lead on all critical business accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Manage and review general ledger operations, prepare accurate financial statements, and execute the monthly and annual closing processes
  • Compliance & Audits: Ensure all financial practices comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and local tax regulations
  • Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and evaluate junior accounting staff; delegate daily tasks related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Analysis & Budgeting: Develop company budgets, forecast future financial needs, track revenue and expenses, and identify process improvements to reduce costs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is highly preferred
  • Experience: Typically requires 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory or team lead roles
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, strict attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working conditions

  • Monday to Friday
  • 7 am to 4 pm
