Role Description

This is a rare seat. We're looking for a Head of Corporate Development / M&A to design and run the deal engine that takes Meridian from a strong early platform to a multi-vertical, multi-billion-dollar enterprise, and to do it with speed, discipline, and founder-grade conviction.

You'll be the tip of the spear for the full partnership lifecycle: origination, diligence, execution, and enablement planning & hand-off. You'll lead our origination and M&A function from the ground up. And you'll serve as a trusted thought partner to our founders on capital allocation, vertical entry, and platform strategy.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Miami area, reporting to the cofounder & CFO with a close working relationship with the founder & CEO.

Qualifications

• 5+ personally closed deals where you were the leader, not a cog in the process
• Deep experience in LMM buyout, search/ETA, or sponsor-backed roll-ups; pure megacap PE backgrounds without LMM or sourcing reps are not a fit
• Top-tier financial modeling: LBO, accretion/dilution, returns waterfall, and deal structuring
• Builder mentality: can design process, infrastructure, and team
• Comfort running 3-5 live deal processes simultaneously without dropping balls
• Believes in the American Dream for working people and the dignity of the skilled trades
