Sterile Processing Technician – The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods

Southwoods Health is seeking a full-time Sterile Processing Technician in Boardman, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely disinfection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment to support our high standards of patient care.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
• No weekends or holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Decontamination: Disassemble, clean, and disinfect surgical instrumentation and equipment following specific IFUs.
• Sterilization: Operate sterilizers, ultrasonics, and washers; perform required biological and chemical monitoring.
• Assembly & Labeling: Inspect instruments for damage, wrap trays, and accurately label items for use.
• Inventory: Restock implant trays and maintain tidy central processing and inventory levels.
• Compliance: Maintain accurate records for decontamination and sterilization to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• Certification: CRCST certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
• Aptitude: High attention to detail with a professional, team-oriented attitude.
