Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Hot Mill Mandrel Manager at The Mandrel Group located in Canfield, OH. The Hot Mill Mandrel Manager will oversee the operations of the hot mill mandrel processes, including supervising the manufacturing, maintenance, and rebuilding of mandrels and related components. Additional responsibilities include optimizing workflow, ensuring quality standards, managing schedules, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and high-performing solutions to clients in the steel industry.


Qualifications

  • Expertise in manufacturing processes, mandrel maintenance, and rebuilding
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee operations and foster productivity
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems, gear design, and gearbox operations
  • Ability to evaluate and implement process improvements to optimize performance and output
  • Experience with heavy machinery, weld overlays, and segment material application
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to safety and quality control standards
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience in a related managerial role within the steel or manufacturing industry is highly desirable
