About the Role
The Key Account Manager owns and drives the success of assigned strategic customers in Japan. This role is responsible for building long‑term partnerships, expanding share of wallet, and leading all commercial activities across sales, technical engagement, and project execution. The position works closely with customers, partners, distributors, and global HQ teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage strategic customer accounts, developing and executing collaboration and growth plans.
- Build strong relationships with key decision makers at technical, commercial, and executive levels.
- Identify and develop high‑value opportunities, driving revenue growth and key account KPIs.
- Understand customer system architectures and position appropriate semiconductor solutions.
- Manage customer projects from design‑in through product realisation, coordinating internal teams.
- Act as liaison between customers, distributors, and HQ on sales operations, documentation, logistics, and after‑sales support.
- Support marketing activities including product promotions, events, and customer communications.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and take ownership of achieving business targets.
- Conduct competitive and technical market analysis as needed.
- Support administrative and operational activities for the regional office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Telecommunications) or Business.
- 8+ years of sales experience in the semiconductor or related technology industry.
- Strong experience managing key accounts and specification‑driven sales.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable engaging with engineers and senior‑level customer stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent English (spoken and written) along with fluent Japanese proficiency,
- Experience with wireless, connectivity, or positioning technologies is a plus.
