Position Summary

Trumbull Industries manages a catalog of nearly 120,000 SKUs across kitchen, bath, and plumbing products, distributed through six major sales channels including Amazon, Lowe's, Home Depot, Wayfair, Ferguson Home, and Bath1.com. The Product Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring the data feeding our PIM, ERP, and retailer feeds is accurate, complete, and trustworthy. Clean data is a competitive advantage, and this role owns making sure we have it.


Key Responsibilities

  • Audit and clean product data received from manufacturers and supplier partners, including dimensions, weights, materials, finishes, certifications, and image assets.
  • Validate data against logical and category-specific rules (for example, flagging a toilet listed at one pound shipping weight, or a vanity top with mismatched cutout dimensions).
  • Standardize and structure data so it conforms to internal templates and the requirements of each retail channel.
  • Verify image assets are correctly tagged and ordered, ensuring silo, beauty, and lifestyle shots are placed in the proper sequence for each retailer.
  • Load and maintain product records in Akeneo PIM in partnership with the PIM Manager.
  • Cross-reference data between Epicor Prelude (ERP), Akeneo, and channel listings to identify discrepancies.
  • Build and maintain documentation for data standards, validation checklists, and SOPs.
  • Support new product launches by preparing complete, retailer-ready content packages.
  • Partner with category managers, customer advocates, and the PIM team to resolve data-driven issues such as listing complaints, return drivers, and content gaps.


Education

Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field. Equivalent work experience can substitute.

Experience

1 to 3 years in a data-focused role. Acceptable backgrounds include e-commerce operations, product catalog management, retail merchandising, supply chain or procurement coordination, marketing operations, manufacturing data entry, or distribution.


Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and basic Power Query.
  • Comfort working with large datasets and structured templates.
  • Basic understanding of databases or willingness to learn SQL.
  • Familiarity with one or more PIM systems such as Akeneo, Salsify, Plytix, inRiver, or Syndigo is a strong plus.
  • Experience with retailer portals (Amazon Seller or Vendor Central, Lowe's LowesLink, Home Depot OneSpace, Wayfair Partner Home) is a plus.
  • Experience with an ERP system such as Epicor, NetSuite, or SAP is a plus.

  • Clear written communication for documenting standards and flagging issues.
  • Comfort with repetitive precision work.
  • Self-starter mindset and willingness to ask questions when data does not look right.
