Account Executive Capital & Software Sales

About Us
Compumedics has spent nearly four decades at the forefront of sleep and neurodiagnostic technology. Founded in 1987 and listed on the ASX (CMP), we design and manufacture the diagnostic systems that clinicians trust for the most complex cases in sleep medicine, epilepsy, and neurophysiology. Our US commercial headquarters is in Charlotte, NC, and our portfolio spans clinical-grade PSG, home sleep testing (Somfit, Falcon HST), EEG amplifiers (Grael, Okti), ambulatory monitoring, and the Profusion, Nexus 360, and CURRY software platforms used in leading academic medical centers and community hospitals across the country.
We compete on diagnostic integrity, clinical depth, and outcomes that matter. If that resonates with you, read on.
The Role
We're hiring an Account Executive to own and grow the Mid-Atlantic territory across both our sleep diagnostics and neurodiagnostics product lines. This is a capital equipment and software sales role with a consultative, clinical-depth approach. You'll be calling on sleep labs, HST providers, hospital neurology departments, and community neurology practices, guiding providers through complex decisions on technology that directly shapes patient care.
You'll manage the full sales cycle: building pipeline, running product demonstrations, navigating hospital procurement, closing capital deals, and expanding existing accounts. You'll also be expected to stay current on clinical trends in sleep medicine and neurophysiology and bring genuine insight into your customer conversations.
What We're Looking For
We want someone who is genuinely passionate about sleep and/or EEG, with the clinical curiosity to match. If you've spent time in a sleep lab or neurodiagnostics environment, understand the clinical workflow, and get energized talking shop with RPSGTs, neurologists, and sleep physicians, you'll thrive here.
Specifically, we're looking for:
- Proven capital equipment sales experience in medtech, ideally in sleep diagnostics, neurodiagnostics, or related clinical specialties
- Strong command of a structured sales process: prospecting, clinical discovery, stakeholder alignment, and closing
- The ability to demonstrate complex diagnostic hardware and software platforms with clinical credibility
- A track record of building and managing a healthy, accurate pipeline and hitting targets
- Strong account management instincts and the ability to build lasting relationships across clinical and administrative stakeholders
- Clear, confident communication skills, written and verbal
- Demonstrate commitment to remaining actively engaged beyond the initial sales by partnering with clinical & technical support, operations, and customer support teams to ensure long-term customer success, satisfaction, and account growth.
Clinic experts, sleep techs, EEG techs, and neurodiagnostic professionals who have built strong industry networks and love to teach are strongly encouraged to apply. Your clinical credibility and relationships are a genuine competitive advantage in this role. We have an experienced team in place to support your training and set you up for long-term success.
A background in the Mid-Atlantic market (Virginia, Maryland and DC) and existing relationships with sleep programs or neurology departments is a meaningful plus. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required. What matters most is your ability to open doors, earn clinical trust, and close business.
