About the Job
Pacific International has been retained by a global manufacturing organization to identify a Plant Manager for a large scale production facility. This individual will lead a complex operation across manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, quality, supply chain, and EHS, while helping drive operational performance and site transformation initiatives.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for leading day to day plant operations while also shaping the long term direction of the facility. This role requires a leader who can create structure, strengthen accountability, improve operational execution, and build high performing teams within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead all aspects of plant operations with a focus on safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that improve plant efficiency, reliability, and overall site performance.
• Drive a strong culture of safety and ensure compliance with all environmental and regulatory standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop site leadership across production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and supply chain functions.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations through Lean and operational excellence practices.
• Oversee plant financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and cost management.
• Improve operational consistency through stronger systems, processes, and performance management.
• Partner cross functionally with commercial, engineering, and corporate leadership teams to support broader business objectives.
• Support long term growth through workforce development, operational discipline, and site capability building.
• Drive reliability improvements and asset performance initiatives to maximize uptime and operational stability.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably within Engineering, Operations Management, or another technical discipline.
• 10+ years of leadership experience within complex manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Proven success leading plant operations within fast paced production environments.
• Strong understanding of operational excellence, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing budgets, capital projects, and operational performance metrics.
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision making capabilities.
• Ability to lead through change while balancing strategic priorities with day to day operational demands.
Preferred Experience
• Experience within complex manufacturing environments preferred.
• Background leading multi shift or 24/7 manufacturing operations.
• Exposure to maintenance and reliability focused operations.
• Experience within highly regulated or safety critical environments.
• Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred.
