This role leads and develops a team of Business Partners, ensures consistent application of HR strategy across multiple manufacturing locations, and acts as a key advisor on employee relations, talent strategy, workforce planning, policy, and change initiatives in a high‑volume, fast-paced environment.
This role will require the ability to build excellent working relationships with a diverse group of team members. They will need to act as a partner to their local manufacturing teams in all aspects of the position.
Essential Job Functions
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with senior operations and functional leaders to align people strategies with manufacturing and business objectives.
- Translate enterprise HR strategy into practical, site‑level execution across multiple plants and locations.
- Provide consultation on talent development, employee matters, workforce planning, and people optimization.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on complex people, leadership, and organizational issues.
- Oversee employee relations strategy across multiple manufacturing regions.
- Serve as escalation point for complex or high‑risk investigations, ethics, retaliation, and other legal/people issues.
- Ensure consistent application of policies, corrective action, and termination decisions across locations.
- Partner with Legal and HR leadership on litigation risk, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Lead multi‑site talent reviews, succession planning, and leadership development efforts.
- Guide performance management practices for frontline, manufacturing, and leadership populations.
- Partner with operations to forecast workforce needs and support hiring or restructuring initiatives.
- Ensure strong onboarding, engagement, and retention strategies for skilled manufacturing and leadership talent.
- Lead, coach, and develop HRBP managers and HRBPs supporting multiple sites.
- Build HRBP capability in consulting, judgment, data use, and employee relations decision‑making.
- Set clear expectations, escalation standards, and accountability for HRBP delivery.
- Promote consistent HR practices while allowing flexibility for local operational needs
- Support restructuring, plant expansions or consolidations, acquisitions, and operational changes.
- Manage change impacts across hourly and salaried populations with a focus on communication, engagement, and compliance.
- Identify trends and systemic issues across sites and recommend enterprise or regional solutions.
- Ensure alignment with employment laws, safety initiatives, and regulatory requirements across all assigned locations.
- Contribute to HR governance, escalation frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Use data and metrics to monitor ER trends, turnover, engagement, and workforce risks.
- Create analytics and reports using data from various sources and prepare periodic and special reports when needed or requested.
Up to 40% travel required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, including senior HRBP leadership
- 3+ years supporting manufacturing or operations‑heavy environments preferred
- Demonstrated experience managing multi‑site, hourly workforce populations
- Strong background in employee relations, investigations, and risk management
- Proven people leadership experience managing HRBP teams
- Working knowledge of employment laws
