5G System Developer

Job Description:

5G req, customer wants engineers with good exp in C/C++ (C++ preferred) + Linux (Yocto) + Qualcomm controller.

Engineer has to do lots of source code reading and moderate code writing, and of course, in-vehicle algorithm tests. Need to develop it using C++ on Linux. Cellular know how is required, even if candidate doesn’t have hands on exp.

You can look for MS and BS, look for 5+ yrs of exp with good hands-on exp.

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

Implement uplink and downlink outage detection algorithms on vehicle cellular communication modules.

Design and develop advanced 5G link diagnostics mechanisms using inputs across multiple layers of the 5G communication stack.

Accurately:

• Detect 5G link issues

• Classify root causes across the end-to-end communication chain

Identify, expose, and utilize low level cellular metrics by modifying cellular module source code.

Produce clear diagnostic reports explaining issue causes,

Required Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in C++ and Python

• Deep understanding of:

o 5G cellular architecture

o TCP/IP networking

o Cross layer network diagnostics

• Experience working with:

o Cellular communication modules (e.g., Qualcomm platforms 525M)

o Linux based (Yocoto) embedded environments

• Ability to analyze and modify low level source code

• Knowledge of Wi Fi systems and device connectivity behavior

• Strong debugging, testing, and validation skills

The expected salary range for this position is between $85,000 to $95,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant Skills/Experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/ office location.
