Robotics Infrastructure Engineer
Indexed description
We’re partnering with a fast-growing robotics company building real-world autonomous systems and are looking for a Robotics Infrastructure Engineer to help scale the core infrastructure powering production robots.
This is not a traditional DevOps or SRE role. You’ll work across robotics software, Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, simulation tooling, and AI-powered engineering automation. The position works closely with the CTO and offers significant ownership across critical engineering systems.
What you’ll work on:
• Build and scale robot-side infrastructure and Python-based control systems
• Own CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and infrastructure-as-code environments
• Debug complex issues spanning hardware, Linux systems, networking, and applications
• Develop simulation and testing infrastructure for robotics workflows
• Build AI-powered automation agents for debugging, testing, and infrastructure operations
• Improve engineering velocity across the organisation
Key requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in robotics infrastructure or systems engineering using Python
• Strong systems-level Python experience (processes, async, hardware I/O)
• Deep Linux systems knowledge (kernel, networking, containers)
• Hands-on experience with robotics hardware such as robotic arms, sensors, or cameras
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Experience leveraging AI coding agents for complex engineering tasks
• Bachelor’s degree from a top US university
Tech stack:
Python | Linux | CI/CD | Infrastructure as Code | NixOS | gRPC | Protocol Buffers | AI Coding Agents
This opportunity is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving difficult cross-functional problems, moving quickly, and building infrastructure that directly impacts real-world robotic systems.
