Job Summary & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Software Engineer to join our team focused on developing both frontend and backend solutions for Onto Innovation’s optical metrology and inspection systems. The role involves creating software around machine control, machine learning, image processing, and high-performance computing.
The ideal candidate is excited about pushing the boundaries of semiconductor technology, eager to make impactful contributions to the company and our customers, enjoys working with complex industrial systems, and is keen to continue honing their software engineering skills.
The technical stack includes Windows, Linux, C++, C#, Python, CUDA, and JavaScript.
*Please note this position is open to new graduates, at lower job levels.*
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in all stages of software development, including planning, requirements analysis, documentation, design, coding, and quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, executives, engineers, and project and product managers.
- Help troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and new technologies.
- Experience with machine learning, image processing, CUDA, or hardware control.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry or a related field.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban software development methodologies.
