We’re building a developer-first product that redefines how observability tools look and feel, and we’re expanding our Sales team with a Solutions Engineer who truly lives and breathes B2D. Location: Boston (Hybrid — 3 days/week in office)
What You’ll Do:
- Work with our account executives to plan, prepare and execute deals in complex and technical sales cycles.
- Deliver clear presentations and demos that communicate the product uniqueness and the problems it solves
- Manage the technical aspects of the entire sales cycle, including Proof of Concepts/Value
- Understand and communicate customer needs to the product teams for future product enhancements.
- Build solutions to fill gaps and enhance the core product
- Know the Observability and log management markets well and be able to help customers choose the right solutions for them.
- Be active on internal and external Slack channels
- Present at conferences, meetups, podcasts, livestreams etc.
- Go the extra mile to help groundcover disrupt the observability market, by offering thoughts, insights, and suggestions on how we can improve our go to market efforts, and improve the offering.
- Must be located and available to work during EST hours
- At least 3 years experience in customer-facing technical roles
- 2+ years of observability experience, with a deep understanding of commercial vendors such as Datadog, Dynatrace, NewRelic, Splunk, Sumologic, Coralogix, and open source tooling such as Elastic, Loki, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
- A ‘can do’ and ‘must win’ attitude, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to help build whatever is needed to improve our chances of winning business
- Knowledge of technologies like Docker, Containers, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, Azure, OpenShift, as well as integrating data sources such as Cloudwatch, OTel, and log and metric data, such as Prometheus, FluentD/Fluentbit
- Customer facing experience - beholding an engaging personality, charisma, and the ability to command a room or zoom
- Consultative and analytical, with an ability to identify and solve complete processes and infrastructure
- Expect (and hopefully enjoy) frequent travel
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in related discipline. Science or Engineering degree preferred.
