As a consortium partner of the EU Horizon Weather Generator project, Buluttan is a VC-funded and globally oriented team of engineers and scientists, driven to develop next-generation weather intelligence solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and strengthening relationships with key clients across industries such as energy, mobility, agriculture, infrastructure ensuring they gain maximum value from Buluttan’s weather intelligence products and services.

As an Account Manager, you will work closely with our CEO and business development team to understand the operational and commercial needs of our clients. These may include production forecasting, operational planning, risk management, safety improvements, or asset optimization depending on the sector.

You will ensure that customer needs, issues, and improvement opportunities are addressed quickly and effectively, while ensuring a smooth customer journey from onboarding to long-term expansion.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication skills and the ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, high-impact startup environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute Buluttan’s customer development strategy across target industries
  • Track account and industry metrics (e.g., forecasting performance, operational KPIs, sales results, contract renewals) and prepare regular status reports
  • Work closely with the CEO and BD team to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term retention
  • Manage and expand relationships with key accounts; monitor account health, growth opportunities, and profitability
  • Identify client challenges related to operational planning, forecasting accuracy, safety, or asset risk, and propose tailored solutions using Buluttan’s offerings
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities (e.g., new assets, regional expansions, new use cases across industries)

  • You are an excellent communicator who can influence technical experts, operations managers, analysts, and executives by demonstrating the value of our products
  • You think strategically and can present technology choices that expand our presence in the client’s organization, optimizing value and long-term partnerships
  • You can lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring efficient collaboration and smooth execution across stakeholders
  • You enjoy learning continuously and staying up to date with innovations in industries such as energy, mobility, aviation, logistics, and climate technologies

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from a top-tier university
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in customer success, project management, account management, consulting, business development, or a similar role
  • Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to effectively use AI-powered applications in daily workflows.
  • Experience being the lead point of contact for customer account management processes is a plus.
  • Motivation to work in a fast-growing startup with a hybrid (remote + office) working culture
  • The candidate is expected to be based in Istanbul and able to attend in-person meetings when needed.
  • Interest in meteorology, forecasting, climate risk, or data-driven decision systems is a strong plus
