This is a highly visible technical leadership role for a change leader with a strong technical foundation and a passion for modern Quality Engineering, automation, and innovation — including AI‑first testing approaches. You will work closely with the QE COE to ensure aligned corporate strategy execution, and directly influence how our products are built, tested, and released.
Key Responsibilities
As Principal Software Quality Engineer (m/f/d), you will:

- Champion innovation, shaping the evolving role of Quality Engineering in a GenAI‑driven technology landscape
- Mentor and grow people, helping build a high‑performing, forward‑looking Quality Engineering community
Lead & Inspire

- Challenge traditional quality paradigms and explore how GenAI and emerging technologies reshape testing and Quality Engineering
- Identify opportunities to modernize tools, processes, and automation approaches across teams
- Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and confidence in product quality
- Partner cross‑functionally with Developers, QA Engineers, Product teams, and other stakeholders
- Promote knowledge sharing and best‑practice exchange across teams and locations
- Clearly communicate progress, results, risks, and recommendations — from team level to executive leadership
- Co‑lead quality governance activities, including risk identification, mitigation, and reporting
- 5–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, with a strong focus on test architecture and strategy
- Proven success leading large‑scale QE initiatives and driving measurable quality improvements
- Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps
- Strong experience with test automation frameworks, scripting, and programming

- Ability to train, coach, and mentor teams within Agile delivery models
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Comfortable operating at both hands‑on technical and strategic leadership levels
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across teams and senior stakeholders
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with Tricentis Tosca, qTest, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
