Key Account Manager

The Key Account Manager is responsible growing and owning a portfolio of client accounts. They will be responsible for a $10M+ book of business within their region, traveling up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Drive new customer acquisition while identifying and expanding opportunities within existing accounts, strengthening long-term relationships.
- Proactively source and qualify leads, advancing opportunities efficiently through the sales cycle to close.
- Support customer growth by encouraging repeat purchases and expanding share of wallet within established accounts.
- Build strong rapport and trust with a diverse customer base, including small-to-mid-sized businesses, independent retailers, and trade partners.
- Participate effectively in customer negotiations, including pricing, terms, bundled solutions, and outcome-based agreements.
- Own and deliver against a defined revenue target, clearly articulating individual contributions to territory growth and profitability.
- Maintain an accurate, balanced sales pipeline with reliable forecasting and disciplined use of CRM and sales tools.
- Demonstrate strong preparation, accountability, and follow-through, consistently driving activities that produce measurable results.
- Act as a brand ambassador by managing customer-facing touchpoints to increase brand awareness and brand value.
- Apply an insight-driven, customer-centric approach to generate demand for products (e.g., moldings, doors) and services among targeted channel partners.
Qualifications
- Experience selling moldings and doors strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed revenue and margin targets over a sustained period of two or more years.
- Proven track record of converting leads and opportunities into closed deals, with measurable business impact.
- Ability to adapt sales strategies to customer needs, delivering solution-oriented recommendations beyond product features alone.
- Experience maintaining a consistent cadence of customer engagement, grounded in a deep understanding of customer needs and sales cycles.
- Resilient and persistent in the face of setbacks, with the ability to adjust strategies to remain aligned with objectives.
- Fast learner who actively applies coaching and integrates new selling methodologies to enhance performance and adaptability.
- Experience in prospecting, lead generation, and business development, with the ability to engage purchasing agents, senior buyers, and small business owners.
- Strong business acumen, including strategic pricing, supported by advanced analytical skills such as quantitative analysis and demand forecasting to drive informed decision-making and account growth.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with strong negotiation and presentation capabilities.
- Highly organized with effective time-management skills, capable of succeeding in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in web-based systems and tools, including CRM and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, HubSpot) and the Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Valid driver's license and reliable access to a personal vehicle for regular travel within the assigned territory.

Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000 + bonus
