Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior .NET Systems Developer (Desktop & Device Programming) to support the development and maintenance of MEDIC and the Multi-use Tester (MUT) platform — a critical Windows-based ecosystem used by technicians to communicate with vehicle Electronic Control Units (ECUs).
This role focuses heavily on Windows desktop development, hardware-software integration, diagnostic device communication, and enterprise deployment support. The ideal candidate brings strong experience with WPF/WinForms applications, Windows device programming, MSI deployments, and backend SQL technologies within large enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Windows desktop applications using WPF (XAML) and WinForms
- Program and optimize communication between Windows applications and diagnostic hardware devices
- Manage MSI package creation and software deployment across dealership environments
- Troubleshoot Windows OS issues, hardware conflicts, driver issues, and device connectivity problems
- Support SQL Server databases, SSIS packages, and technical reporting tools
- Collaborate with Service and IT teams onsite to support evolving vehicle diagnostic technologies
- Build and support backend APIs and responsive web-based applications
- Maintain and enhance data integrations related to Service Manuals, Recalls, and TSB systems

Required Skills & Experience
- Advanced experience with WPF (XAML) and WinForms
- Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API
- Experience interfacing with Windows devices, USB communication, and peripheral connectivity
- Expertise with MSI package creation and Windows Installer technologies
- Strong understanding of Windows System Administration, Registry management, and OS-level troubleshooting
- Experience with Entity Framework, LINQ, and asynchronous programming
- Frontend experience with Angular or React, plus HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
- Strong SQL Server and T-SQL experience
- Experience with SSIS (DTSX) and SSRS reporting tools
- Experience supporting enterprise-level environments
Desired Skills
- Automotive OEM industry experience preferred
- Experience working with vehicle communication protocols or diagnostic hardware
- MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer) certification preferred
- 3+ years of Big 4 consulting experience preferred
- Stable work history within large enterprise organizations
