This role supports the expansion and performance of the Modern Trade channel. The Senior Key Account Executive will work closely with the Senior Key Account Manager to manage key accounts, drive sales growth, and ensure strong in-store execution to maximise brand presence and revenue.


Responsibilities

1. Revenue & Growth Management:

  • Achieve monthly sales targets and market share growth by managing key accounts.
  • Develop and execute account-specific strategic business plans to maximise revenue opportunities.
  • Monitor sales performance and identify growth opportunities across SKUs and categories.

2. Relationship & Negotiation:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with category buyers.
  • Lead annual contract negotiations.
  • Secure new product listings (NPD) and expand shelf space/share of shelf.

3. Promotion & Activation:

  • Plan and execute effective trade marketing calendars and in-store activations.
  • Evaluate promotional effectiveness and ensure optimal ROI on trade spend.

4. Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee stock health, minimize Out-of-Stock (OOS) situations.
  • Manage and coordinate merchandising teams to ensure 100% planogram compliance.


Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG Modern Trade account management, retail or sales is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing key accounts, handling buyer communication and executing retail
  • Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel is a must, with the ability to interpret sales data and category trends.
  • Able to analyse sales data (Excel), track SKU performance, and identify issues such as slow-moving stock, out-of-stock, and promotion effectiveness
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with high emotional intelligence in managing buyers.
  • Excellent execution and coordination skills to ensure in-store compliance (pricing, displays, availability) and work closely with internal teams, merchandisers and distributors.
  • Proactive, result-driven and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
