Senior Cloud Engineer Summary: Delinea is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team. In this role, you will own and evolve complex application infrastructure — including messaging and eventing systems such as Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and Amazon SES — delivering reliable, scalable, and well-documented solutions that directly enable our development teams to move fast and build confidently. From architecting and maintaining infrastructure modules in Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes across AWS and Azure, to driving high availability practices and building operational runbooks, you will play a key role in shaping how platform infrastructure is built and supported across the organization. You will be reporting to the Director of Cloud Engineering. What You’ll Do: • Own and maintain complex application infrastructure components including Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and Amazon SES, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across AWS and Azure environments. • Design, build, and maintain reusable infrastructure modules using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes, ensuring all new and existing application components are well-documented and repeatable. • Develop and maintain operational runbooks, monitoring frameworks, and process flows for common infrastructure issues, enabling rapid response and clear handoff across teams. • Partner with development teams to understand infrastructure needs, translating requirements into scalable, production-ready solutions that align with platform standards. • Integrate AI learning tooling into cloud infrastructure workflows, including evaluating LLM-based automation, AI-assisted observability, and developer tooling that accelerates platform engineering across the organization. • Drive high availability and reliability standards across managed services, contributing to incident reviews and implementing preventive improvements. What You’ll Need: • 8+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering with a focus on application-layer infrastructure. • Proven hands-on experience with AWS and Azure , including deploying and managing Kubernetes workloads, microservices architecture, and cloud security fundamentals. • Hands-on expertise with messaging and eventing systems such as Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, and Amazon SES in production environments. • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and Helm , including module development, versioning, and documentation — with exposure to AI-assisted infrastructure tooling and a security-first approach encompassing policy-as-code, secrets management, and least-privilege access controls. • Strong ability to create and maintain operational documentation including runbooks, monitoring frameworks, and process flows for complex infrastructure systems. • Familiarity with working in FedRamp authorized systems We’d Love to See: • Experience with advanced RabbitMQ configurations including clustering, federation, and message persistence strategies in self-hosted environments. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tooling (e.g., Azure DevOps) and experience integrating infrastructure modules into automated deployment workflows. • Exposure to security and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, PCI) within cloud infrastructure environments, with hands-on experience applying controls such as IAM hardening, secrets management (e.g., Vault or AWS Secrets Manager), and compliance posture management across AWS and Azure.
