We’re a fast-growing ecosystem building powerful, developer-first tools with Python at the core. Our mission is to empower AI practitioners in the private and public sector with easily deployable and sovereign AI software.

We’re looking for a Developer / DevRel / Community Lead who thrives at the intersection of engineering, use case interaction, content creation, product design, and community building.

The role is located in an sktime adjacent joint venture of GC.OS, but will cover communities across the entire ecosystem.


What You’ll Do

  • Be a key interface point for developers in the private and public sector using our open source tools
  • Build and ship use case demos, examples, and integrations
  • Create technical content: tutorials, blog posts, videos, and talks
  • Engage with users and developers across platforms (GitHub, Discord, events)
  • Gather feedback, collect user input, run user experience trials
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to improve developer experience
  • Grow and nurture an active, welcoming community


Essential Skills

  • Background in developer relations, advocacy, community building, or similar
  • Visible track record in open source development or community building
  • Strong experience with Python (AI/ML experience is a big plus)
  • Excellent communication skills: explain complex ideas simply
  • Experience creating technical content or speaking publicly
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced innovation environment
  • Genuine passion for helping developers succeed
  • Fluency in spoken and written business English, with a tech focus


Desired Skills

  • Experience with modern AI frameworks (genAI, APIs, sklearn, genAI, tooling)
  • Familiarity with GC.OS supported packages (especially sktime)
  • Contribution track record to GC.OS supported packages (especially sktime)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and developer tooling ecosystems
  • German language skills at least at CEFR level C1
  • Track record as a content creator, preferably in the AI/tech space
  • Consultancy experience, especially in digitization strategy or AI transformation
