As an Account Manager at AKA Asia, you’ll drive day-to-day client relationships, lead integrated campaigns, and manage cross-functional teams to deliver bold, insight-led work that gets people talking. You’ll be a key contact for clients, ensuring projects run smoothly from strategy through execution, across PR, digital, and social.
Responsibilities
Client Handling
- Provide sound advice to clients on achieving PR objectives and goals
- Put together a timeline of agreed activity for sign off by your AD and client
- Set proper client expectations and develop achievable KPI’s
- Maintain discipline in the team on delivery against agreed timelines
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular contact (phone and face-to-face)
- Monitor issues relevant to client’s business
- Keep up to date on your client’s industr especially competitor activity
- Ensure ongoing and strong dialogue with AD to ensure smooth running of account
- Review all major deliverables from AEs to ensure quality standards and expectations are met
- Mentor junior team to success by coaching them on both technical and soft skills – keep morale,
New business
- Proactively pursue opportunities for account growth and new business
- Play an active role in proposal development – turning insights into strategy, brainstorm, pitch
- Seek out opportunities to grow our business through Digital and Design
- Train AE on stakeholder engagement and help them establish relationships
- Drive creation of materials for approval by AD
- Track progress and suggest ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Liaise with senior stakeholder contacts and find networking opportunities
- Facilitate meetings/interviews with key spokespeople
- Prepare briefing notes and be responsible for follow-up actions
- Have sound and current knowledge of social media/digital platforms
- Develop social media strategy and content plans
- Leverage current events to identify social media opportunities for clients
- Manage and own relationships with external partners to develop content
- Showcase and propose how our design capabilities can help our clients
- Flag to ADs if current budgets don’t match as plans are being executed
- 4 -7 years in the PR industry
- Excellent writing skills
- Articulate in presenting ideas and plans
- Participated in new business pitches
- Managed (up and down) to deliver outstanding work
- Shown clear ability to manage timelines and executions
