Customer Account Manager – Foodstuffs (National)
We are seeking an experienced Customer Account Manager – Foodstuffs (National) to lead and manage our national relationship with Foodstuffs. This is a high‑impact role responsible for delivering volume, value, and quality outcomes across a strategically critical customer portfolio.
You will own the end‑to‑end customer interface — from joint business planning, NPD, and promotional execution through to forecasting, trade spend management, and cross‑functional collaboration. This role suits a commercially savvy FMCG professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, data‑driven environment and enjoys building trusted, long‑term partnerships.
What you’ll be doing:
Account & Commercial Management
- Lead the national relationship with Foodstuffs, presenting NPD, promotional programmes, and category reviews to key category managers
- Deliver financial targets including Annual Net Sales Value (NSV) and approved A&P budgets
- Provide accurate sales and promotional forecasts aligned to the S&OP process
- Monitor and control trade spend in line with approved budgets
- Prepare and submit deal sheets, forecasts, and NPD documentation within Foodstuffs systems and timelines
- Maintain accurate Foodstuffs trackers including baselines, promotional lifts, pricing, and trading terms
- Partner with DKSH Client Managers to develop profit models and supplier deal proposals
- Work closely with Foodstuffs in line with agreed ways of working to understand customer needs and priorities
- Partner with the field team to support execution, including planogram implementation
- Communicate customer priorities and activity through regular updates, newsletters, and regional meetings
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders
- Proven experience managing major grocery or FMCG accounts (Foodstuffs experience highly desirable)
- Strong analytical capability, including the ability to use scan data and trade maths to build compelling commercial proposals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn
