About the role


As a Key Account Manager at Diplomat New Zealand Limited, you will be responsible for managing and growing key customer accounts, ensuring exceptional service and cultivating long-term, strategic partnerships. This full-time position is based in Takapuna, Auckland.


What you'll be doing

  • Develop and execute account plans to meet and exceed sales targets for key accounts
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within your accounts
  • Identify new opportunities to expand business and drive revenue growth
  • Provide expert product and industry knowledge to support customer needs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Monitor and report on account performance, identifying areas for improvement
  • Represent the company at industry events and customer meetings

What we're looking for

  • Proven track record of success in account management or relationship-focused sales roles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with customers
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex situations
  • Proficient in using CRM systems to manage customer data and pipeline
  • Thorough understanding of the sales process and customer lifecycle
  • Familiarity with the account and relationship management industry
