Duties And Responsibilities
- Develops relationships beyond the Producer’s relationship with the key decision makers
- Directs Plan Analyst/Account Manager regarding renewal/new marketing
- Presents renewal and/or new proposals to clients
- Schedules and leads client meetings and attends open enrollments if necessary
- Coordinates and directs efforts of all team members
- Strategic planning with producer and Account Manager regarding complex underwriting issues and strategies
- Meets with clients on a quarterly or on an as needed basis
- Rounds accounts, especially voluntary benefits
- Implement and Execute multi-year strategic plan
- Makes sure the client is aware of resources that HUB offers (minimum annually)
- Attends industry related continuing education training and courses
- Must follow HUB Broker Standards
- Teamwork – Supports all organizational departments in a collaborative effort for everyone to succeed.
- Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information

- Project Management – Ability to lead and contribute team and adhere to deadlines
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 5-10 years of related experience working as an Account Manager in the employee benefits arena (equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable).
- Self-Funding and fully insured experience preferred
- L&H License required or able to obtain within 120 days from hire
Other Requirements
Must hold a valid Driver’s License
Dependable transportation
Public Speaking/Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively customers and teammates.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish a big plus.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point; follow guidelines on working in BMS (EPIC) for premium efficiency with your team.
