Position Overview: The Commercial Lines Account Executive is responsible for managing and retaining a complex book of business while leading the renewal process and serving as a primary client contact. This role combines strategic account oversight, client-facing communication, and team leadership to ensure high-quality service delivery and long-term client success.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position reporting to our office located in Media, PA.
Professional Responsibilities
- Manage the full renewal lifecycle, including initiating renewals, marketing accounts, and presenting coverage strategies to clients
- Prepare ACORD applications, coordinate submissions, and compile supporting documentation such as loss runs and exposure summaries
- Review and finalize renewal policies, ensuring accuracy and coordinating corrections as needed
- Bind coverage, secure signed documents, and complete all renewal-related processing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal stakeholders
- Lead client communication throughout the renewal process, including participation in client meetings and presentations
- Prepare and maintain client-facing presentation materials and renewal reports
- Review contracts and leases to identify insurance requirements and coverage implications
- Oversee the issuance and accuracy of certificates of insurance, including contractual compliance
- Manage billing, premium financing, and follow-up on non-payment issues
- Maintain accurate and organized records within the agency management system and client files
- Lead, mentor, and delegate work to Account Managers and Account Assistants, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with Producers on new business and client onboarding
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of commercial lines insurance experience
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License
- Experience with AMS360 or similar agency management systems (preferred)
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate within a team environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
