We are looking for Junior Back-end Software Engineer (Java)
As a Junior Software Engineer at WirelessCar, you will be a proactive member of a collaborative engineering team where ownership, quality, and continuous improvement are key. You will work independently on well-defined back-end solutions, taking responsibility for your tasks from start to finish while knowing when to ask for input or feedback.
Here’s what you’ll focus on:
- Develop, test, and maintain back-end software components in accordance with requirements and engineering standards.
- Implement well-defined features and bug fixes.
- Write unit tests and follow established quality, security, and coding practices.
- Participate actively in code reviews, sprint planning, and team ceremonies.
- Communicate progress, risks, and blockers clearly and early.
- Take responsibility for assigned tasks from start to completion.
- Continuously build your understanding of the system, architecture, and development practices.

Additionally:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in back-end development using Java 11+.
- Practical experience with unit testing using JUnit and basic TDD principles.
- Experience using Git in a collaborative, team-based development environment.
- Experience working in Agile teams (e.g. Scrum or similar frameworks).
- Hands-on experience with a cloud platform (AWS).
- English, Fluent – Spoken and written.
- Certifications in back-end frameworks or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure).
- Experience working in a DevOps environment.
- Experience with microservices-based architectures.
- Knowledge of any other programming language is considered an advantage.
- Experience working in global organizations with diverse teams and cultures.
- Experience using CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications.
