DescriptionJob SummaryThe Account Manager is responsible for managing and expanding existing customer relationships while supporting new business development efforts. This role combines account management and inside sales, focusing on delivering excellent customer service, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is relationship-driven, detail-oriented, and motivated to meet or exceed sales targets within a collaborative, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Main Functions & Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customer accounts to drive revenue and retention
- Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through consistent communication and proactive engagement
- Respond to inbound sales inquiries, qualify opportunities, and support new business development efforts
- Enter and maintain customer purchase orders and provide timely order acknowledgements
- Prepare and present product information, pricing, and proposals tailored to customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and operations, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status in CRM systems
- Monitor customer needs and identify opportunities for account expansion and upselling
- Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Travel to customer locations within the United States as needed
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in account management, inside sales, or a related role
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and strong work ethic
- Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred, but not required
