The Dynamics 365 Developer will design, build, and support applications that enhance the student, faculty, and staff experience. This role plays a critical part in advancing our digital ecosystem by delivering innovative solutions on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform stack. The successful candidate will collaborate across IT teams and academic departments to ensure technology enables learning, research, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy custom solutions within Dynamics 365 using plugins, JavaScript, workflows, Power Automate flows, and Power Apps.
- Configure and extend Dataverse entities, forms, dashboards, and security roles to support business and academic needs.
- Integrate Dynamics 365 with other enterprise applications (student information systems, learning management systems, HR, finance, etc.) to streamline data and processes.
- Partner with business analysts, faculty, and administrative staff to translate functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Maintain and optimize existing Dynamics 365 configurations, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
- Provide technical documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to IT colleagues and campus stakeholders.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements following best practices.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
- Experience: 3–5 years of professional experience developing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with C#, .NET, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
- Experience building workflows, Power Automate flows, and custom connectors.
- Familiarity with Dataverse, Azure services, and SQL Server.
- Experience integrating enterprise applications in higher education a plus.
- Certifications: Microsoft certifications such as PL-400 (Power Platform Developer) or MB-300/MB-500 strongly preferred.
- Other Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, collaborative mindset, and excellent communication skills for working with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
