Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year + bonus/commission

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Location: WI-Based, Hybrid (4-days in-office)

Position Summary:

This is a relationship-driven role. The Account Manager is responsible for managing and retaining a book of employee benefits clients, while delivering strategic guidance and high-quality service. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients and works closely with internal team members and insurance carrier partners. You’ll lead client strategy, guide benefit decisions, and help organizations navigate the ever-changing world of employee benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Management & Strategy

  • Manage overall retention and growth of assigned client accounts
  • Lead annual renewal strategy, planning, and implementation
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client benefit programs
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, HR leaders, and executives

Client & Carrier Support

  • Respond to client and employee inquiries related to enrollment, billing, and claims
  • Liaise with insurance carriers to resolve issues
  • Troubleshoot and proactively address potential challenges

Meetings & Communication

  • Conduct open enrollment meetings (virtual and onsite)
  • Present renewal and compliance updates to clients
  • Clearly communicate both internally, and eternally, to ensure seamless service

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Work collaboratively with consultants and service team members
  • Stay current on industry trends, legislation, and compliance
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in employee benefits or health insurance account management
  • Current Wisconsin Life and Accident & Health Licenses
  • Working knowledge of health insurance plans and benefit structures
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for client meetings


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with online benefits administration systems
  • Industry designations
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in employee benefits

  • Occasional in-state travel for client meetings and events
  • Limited out-of-state travel for training or events
