Position Summary
We are looking for a talented and seasoned Account Manager to become a key part of our team. The ideal candidate will spearhead efforts to expand our client portfolio while strengthening partnerships with our existing customers. This position demands a proactive professional who can utilize their industry knowledge, nurture valuable relationships, and propel revenue growth in alignment with our organization's strategic objectives.
Essential Duties
• Client Relationship Management and Growth: Oversee client relationships within the assigned account portfolio, fostering new connections and enhancing engagement with existing clients to strengthen partnerships and drive growth.
• Revenue Oversight: Manage profit and loss (P&L) across the portfolio, including margin optimization, financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting, invoicing, and collections to ensure financial health.
• Account Strategy and Governance: Develop comprehensive account plans, identify opportunities to pursue, and establish effective processes for monitoring, control, and reporting to ensure strategic alignment.
• Business Development and Logo Acquisition: Establish new client relationships and leverage existing networks to secure new business (“logos”) while scaling partnerships with current clients.
• Contract Management: Draft, review, and update key contractual agreements, such as Master Service Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Statements of Work, and Change Orders, ensuring compliance and clarity.
• Delivery Excellence: Collaborate with delivery teams and stakeholders to uphold quality standards, ensuring commitments to clients are met with precision and efficiency.
• Talent and Resource Management: Develop staffing plans to support client contracts and new business opportunities. Partner with internal teams to manage performance, foster training, and implement professional development to align with delivery needs.
Qualifications
• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 15 years in the professional services and consulting industry, showcasing extensive expertise.
• Customer-Centric: Demonstrated Customer-Centric Mindset by prioritizes client satisfaction and long-term retention over short-term gains, acts as a trusted advisor, providing proactive recommendations and quickly addresses client concerns and ensures swift issue resolution.
• Core Competencies: Demonstrated proficiency in business development, program management, project management, and delivery management.
• Proven Account Management Skills: A successful history of excelling as an Account Manager in fast-paced and rapidly evolving environments.
• Proven Project & Program Management Skills: Demonstrated, strong past experience in Project Management expertise and able to provide guidance/mentoring/support across multiple teams managed by PMs.
• Relationship Building: Established ability to engage and build connections at all organizational levels, including technical teams, senior managers, directors, and C-Suite executives.
• Executive Presence: Demonstrates outstanding leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and influence teams and stakeholders effectively at all organizational levels.
• Proposal Expertise: Hands-on experience in creating, developing, and presenting compelling proposals.
• Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills that inspire collaboration and trust.
• Consulting Engagements: Diverse experience in technology and business consulting, particularly in Data Management and Data Engineering.
• Technological Proficiency: Knowledge of innovative technologies, such as Cloud computing, AI/ML concepts, Generative AI, and other digital transformation and data engineering solutions.
• Collaborative Teamwork: Extensive experience working with large, geographically dispersed teams within a matrixed organizational structure.
Preferred
• Post-graduate degree or MBA.
• Project Management Certification: Certification in project management, such as PMP.
• Scrum Master Certification.
• Project Management Methodologies: Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
• Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management tools, such as Asana, Trello, MS Project, or Jira.
