Sales Manager | Home-based (Midlands & Northern England travel required) | Up to £70,000 basic + £95,000 OTE + Car Allowance + Benefits | Full-Time, Permanent

About The Role

An established OEM manufacturer is seeking a high-performing HVAC Sales Manager to drive business growth across the data centre and telecommunications sectors. This is a remote, field-based role focused on B2B and technical sales, combining account management with new business development.

You’ll play a key role in promoting specialist cooling solutions, building services, and M&E packages, working closely with end-users, consultants, and project teams. From early-stage design engagement through to project completion, you will manage the full sales lifecycle.

The business is a global OEM manufacturer specialising in solutions for mission-critical environments where continuous uptime is essential. With expertise spanning design, cooling systems, power infrastructure, commissioning, and testing, the company delivers high-performance solutions for both new-build and live environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and secure new opportunities within data centres and telecoms
  • Account Management: Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Pipeline Ownership: Manage sales pipeline from concept and specification through to order
  • Consultant Engagement: Influence specifications through strong consultant relationships
  • Sales Delivery: Deliver compelling presentations to promote products and services
  • Market Insight: Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market developments
  • Customer Support: Act as the main point of contact for technical and commercial enquiries
  • Site Visits: Conduct surveys to assess customer requirements
  • Quotations: Prepare accurate and compliant proposals and documentation
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to support successful project delivery
  • Reporting: Provide sales forecasts and attend regular team meetings

Candidate Profile

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, and account management within HVAC or building services
  • Strong understanding of cooling systems, M&E solutions, and technical sales processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially driven with the ability to achieve revenue targets
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (O365)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly

Desirable

  • Experience in data centre or telecommunications environments
  • Background delivering HVAC projects to client specifications
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Relevant HVAC qualifications, apprenticeship, or CSCS/skills card
