Business Intelligence Developer (AI Enabled)

We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join our IT/ERP team, someone who genuinely enjoys working with data, cares about how things are built, and likes turning messy inputs into insights the business actually uses.

This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role. You will be deep in SQL, models and pipelines, working across the full BI stack and partnering with the business to solve real problems with data. It’s not a junior role, and it’s not just charts and colours, you will be expected to understand how everything fits together and why it’s built that way.

What Your Day Will Look Like

No two days are identical, but you’ll spend your time doing things like:

• Writing solid, performant T‑SQL to support reporting and ad‑hoc data requests
• Building and maintaining Tabular models and ETL pipelines, and keeping them tidy and efficient
• Tuning and optimising across the BI stack — queries, models and refresh performance
• Working through data challenges with stakeholders and translating requirements into practical solutions
• Researching and experimenting with AI in an enterprise context, focusing on what’s genuinely useful (not just shiny)
• Developing and supporting AI platforms and tools that integrate cleanly with existing BI solutions

What We’re Looking For

This role suits someone who already has solid experience in a BI or data role and enjoys being hands‑on. You’ll bring:

• Strong, practical T‑SQL skills
• Advanced experience with Tabular models and Power BI
• Hands‑on experience with SSIS and Git‑based workflows
• Experience working with the .NET stack for data or platform development
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (because sometimes it’s still the right tool)
