Housekeeping Room Attendant (AM/PM Shifts Available)

AM Shifts Available: 8:30am-5:00pm

PM Shifts Available: 2:00pm-10:30pm

The Wurzak Hotel Group is looking for a Housekeeping Room Attendant whose primary responsibility is the complete upkeep and cleaning of every hotel guest room at the Dalmar & Element Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

This includes changing towels, making beds, cleaning and disinfecting the entire room, in preparation for the guest's arrival and stay at our beautiful Downtown Fort Lauderdale property. In addition, you will address all guests needs and inquires as it pertains to the guest room and making sure that the rooms are fully stocked, clean and inviting for our guests.

General Requirements

  • Daily cleaning and maintenance of all guest rooms.
  • Ensure compliance with proper cleaning techniques, procedures Marriott brand standards and government and state regulations.
  • Ensure proper use of chemicals and cleaning supplies and personal protective equipment.
  • Respond to any guest requests, concerns, and problems to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure maintenance problems are promptly reported to Engineering through proper channels.
  • Log items into the Lost and Found and respond to inquiries regarding lost items.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by Management.
  • Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and other Ambassadors.
  • On time and in proper uniform/dress when scheduled for work.
  • Report any incidents of guest dissatisfaction or other matters of significance to manager so that corrective measures may be taken.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • 6 months or more related experience.
  • Previous hotel environment (Marriott Brand preferred).
  • Knowledge of Housekeeping principles, and practices along with the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, and supplies.
  • Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Consistently professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and efficient time management.
  • Ability to follow an appropriate course of action based on policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient, and while simultaneously handling competing and changing priorities.

The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.

This position REQUIRES: Weekends, Holidays, and a Flexible Schedule.
