What you'll do

● Own user-facing features end-to-end. From a linear ticket to merged PR to shipped

surface in hours, each day. This is a high engine role.

● Ship small PRs at high cadence. Conventional commits, clean branches, fast review

cycles.

● Hunt and finish bugs. Race conditions, stale state, broken loading states, the four-pixel

offset.

● Build the surfaces that sit in front of agents. Streaming responses, partial outputs, and

long-running flows the operator can leave and come back to.

● Keep the codebase honest. Type contracts with the backend, regression tests on bugs

you fix, and the boring CI work that compounds.

● Reach into the backend when a feature needs it. A seeder, a service, a small

controller. The API boundary does not block you.

You work close to product. You push back when something doesn't feel right. You ship the

better version.

What you'll work with

● Next.js 15, React, TypeScript, Tailwind, and an in-house component library

● React Query, JWT auth, role-based access

● Node.js, Sequelize, PostgreSQL on the backend

● Multi-provider LLMs (Anthropic, OpenAI) wrapped in our agent layer

● Linear for tickets, GitHub for PRs, Claude Code as a default editor

● A founding team that pairs tightly with engineering, in person, every day

What we're looking for

● 5+ years building customer-facing product at a high-quality software company.

● Strong React and TypeScript. Comfortable across the stack — Node, Postgres, REST

APIs.

● A track record of shipping. We will look at your commit history, your PRs, and the features

you took from idea to live.

● Product sensibility. You care about UX, speed, and polish. You push back when

something doesn't feel right.

● A bug-finisher's instinct. The unglamorous tickets are the ones that make the product

feel inevitable.

● High engine. You ship every day, not plan every day.

● High ownership. Self-directed, full-lifecycle, doesn't need a PM standing behind you.

● AI-native development. Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent is part of how you work.

● Onsite in Austin. We build in person, every day.
