The Role

Own features end-to-end: from the React Native screen to the API endpoint to the database query. Ship weekly in a TypeScript monorepo. Use AI-assisted development (Claude Code) as a core part of your workflow.

What You'll Do

•Build features across our React Native/Expo mobile app and Next.js backend

•Design type-safe REST APIs consumed via end-to-end typed RPC clients

•Work with both MongoDB and PostgreSQL

•Own mobile releases — native builds, OTA updates, App Store/Play Store

•Write tests at every layer — unit, API mocking, mobile E2E

•Build and improve Claude Code agents and workflows to accelerate the team

Requirements

•5+ years shipping production React Native apps — native modules, performance, app store releases

•Strong TypeScript across the full stack

•Production Node.js backend experience — APIs, auth, databases

•Expo managed workflow — EAS builds, OTA updates, file-based routing

•Monorepo experience with shared packages across apps

•Production MongoDB or PostgreSQL (ideally both)

•Active use of AI dev tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) — you write agents, configure workflows, and use agentic coding daily

•High ownership — you clarify, decide, and ship

•Hono, Drizzle ORM, Clerk, Stripe

•Complex mobile animations (Reanimated, Gesture Handler)

•Building AI-powered product features

•Event-driven background job systems

How We Work

Small team, big ownership. PRs under 400 lines, stacked for larger features. AI-augmented engineering with Claude Code is standard practice. Ship weekly, iterate constantly.

•$175,000-$275,000 base salary
