What You’ll Do In The Role
Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. is seeking an Associate, Software Engineer in Alpharetta, Georgia to be responsible for software development, using Java, SpringBoot, Kafka and related technologies. Design and develop scalable software for financial systems. Produce high-quality, maintainable software code. Work as a member of a banking Agile squad. Design and develop Java software applications, as well as multi-tier Java EE-style applications in the finance technology domain, having experience in financial domain and in payment system. Collaborate with Agile squad team members through peer programming and code reviews. Work on and implement Agile development methodologies, collaborating with global business and technology teams. Contribute to and participate in sprint grooming and planning discussions, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Requires one (1) year of experience in the position offered or one (1) year as a Consultant, Associate Consultant, or a related role in the technology field.
- Requires one (1) year of experience with the following skills:
- Java;
- Agile;
- Java EE;
- Angular JS;
- SOAP;
- REST APIs;
- Python;
- Authentication and authorization including Kerberos, OAuth 2.0, SiteMinder and SPNEGO;
- WebServices including RESTful; Distributed message broker frameworks including RabbitMQ, and Confluent Kafka;
- SpringBoot;
- Angular;
- Hibernate;
- Runway;
- Gradle; and
- DB2.
- Requires any amount of experience with the following skills:
- Financial domains.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $122,000 and $122,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
