Our engineering team works on systems involving:
- secure document delivery and viewing
- authentication and access control
- encryption and file handling
- browser and cloud integrations
- scalable backend services and analytics
What You'll Be Doing
- Design, build, and maintain features across our document security platform
- Work closely within a small engineering team while contributing to systems across the broader platform
- Work across backend and frontend systems, with opportunities to contribute to browser integrations and mobile-related functionality
- Develop systems related to authentication, access control, file delivery, and secure document handling
- Contribute to APIs, integrations, background workers, and analytics pipelines
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ship reliable, maintainable software
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 3-6 years of software engineering experience, including experience working on production systems
- Strong fundamentals in software engineering, algorithms, and system design
- Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Comfortable contributing across both frontend and backend systems, while being stronger in one area
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and technical judgment
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
- Comfortable working in evolving product and technical environments with changing requirements and priorities
- Openness to modern development workflows, including AI-assisted and agentic coding tools
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g. Claude Code, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, etc.)
- Experience with security, encryption, authentication, or access control systems
- Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures
- Experience with browser extensions, mobile apps, or file-heavy systems
- Experience integrating with third-party APIs and cloud platforms (Google, AWS, etc.)
- Work on technically challenging security and file-platform problems
- Be part of an experienced and collaborative engineering team
- Build products used by organizations around the world
- Take ownership of meaningful systems and product areas
