The Position – Senior Account Executive


We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Account Executive (SAE) to join The TASC Group and support our agency’s mission-driven work for nonprofit and issue advocacy clients. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in public relations and communications, the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, and a strong understanding of media relations with a successful track record of media placements.

A genuine passion for public service, a commitment to working with nonprofits and a desire to contribute to mission-based initiatives are essential.


The SAE plays a key role in leading day-to-day communications with clients, executing daily activities and ensuring deadlines for deliverables. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are necessary, as the role requires reviewing and editing media pitches, press releases, op-eds, strategic memos, and other communications. A SAE should also be able to independently manage and staff media interviews with clients.


A successful SAE will actively contribute to maintaining client account productivity and demonstrate initiative in their work. While working closely with supervision from senior team members, the SAE will have opportunities to grow their expertise in client account management, and also participate in mentoring interns and junior members of the team.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strong member of the client team, maintaining regular client communications with a firm understanding of the client’s goals and expectations
  • Develop long- and short-term strategic communications plans that meets client objectives
  • Lead client calls and meetings
  • Manage multiple projects by anticipating needs and ensuring adherence to deadlines
  • Establish strong relationships with media contacts relevant to the client to generate awareness of client’s products, services, thought leadership and/or activities
  • Manage media relations, including the development and execution of media outreach campaigns, message development and coordination of interviews
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff and interns

Required Skills:

  • 5-7 years of relevant PR and communications experience; digital and social media experience is a plus but not required
  • A genuine passion for public service and a commitment to working with nonprofits and mission-based initiatives
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Interest in growing as a PR professional
  • A collaborative and enthusiastic team player!

  • Compensation range: $80,000-94,000 + performance-based bonuses throughout the year
