About noon

We’re building an ecosystem of digital products and services that power everyday life across the Middle East—fast, scalable, and deeply customer-centric. Our mission is simple yet bold: Every door, every day.

About the Role

As an SDE-2 at Everyday Labs, you will join a high-leverage engineering initiative designed to architect and deploy advanced technical solutions for the company’s most critical challenges.

  • Vector serves as the bridge between raw AI capability and practical engineering execution. We utilize internal foundational AI infrastructure, specifically Model Context Protocol (MCP) and LLM integration layers, to build applications and engineering tools that drive massive operational impact. Whether it’s an AI-driven Talent Mapping Engine or a custom Application Tracking System, Vector focuses on turning cutting-edge tech into high-reliability products.

  • Stack: noon’s B2B fintech platform, with a near-term mission to enable seamless financing for marketplace sellers. We’re building frictionless onboarding, fast disbursement, and transparent repayment experiences directly within the Seller Portal.

  • Mesh: a new initiative aimed at enabling agentic applications for a wide range of internal and external users. Mesh will define and build out the Model Context Protocol (MCP) layers and the supporting infrastructure required to adapt Noon’s applications to this emerging, conversational-first interaction model.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect High-Impact Applications: Lead the engineering effort for key products such as our AI-driven Talent Mapping Engine (Vertex AI), "NoonLaundry," and sophisticated internal App integrations using OpenAI’s SDK.
  • Operational Excellence: Build and scale engineering tools that solve internal bottlenecks, ensuring that AI-native experiences are grounded in practical, high-performance code.
  • Professional Ownership: Take full ownership of service reliability, correctness, and architecture, applying SDE-2 standards to ensure systems are robust and maintainable.
  • AI Implementation: Work with domain experts to refine how we evaluate LLM outputs and improve response quality over time within our production environments.
  • Collaborative Engineering: Partner with internal infrastructure teams to influence the development of our Model Context Protocol (MCP) layers.

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional Depth: 5+ years of impactful experience as a Software Development Engineer, specifically building and maintaining large-scale services.
  • Python Expertise: Deep, professional-level experience with Python. You are expected to write clean, idiomatic, and performance-oriented code.
  • Reliability Mindset: A strong focus on correctness and reliability. You have a track record of building services that handle production loads gracefully and are easy to monitor and debug.
  • User-Centric Impact: A mindset that prioritizes real-world impact. You understand that the best code is the code that solves a significant problem for the user or the business.
  • Technical Maturity: You bring the discipline of a seasoned engineer valuing documentation, unit testing, and architectural clarity.

Nice to Have

  • AI System Integration: Previous experience integrating with AI/ML ecosystems (e.g., Vertex AI, OpenAI).

MCP Knowledge: Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for connecting LLMs to external data and tools.
