Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineer / Data Scientist to join a major pharmaceutical client. This role is part of the Research IT organization, specifically supporting the Clinical Imaging team, while working closely with the application development team. The engineer will collaborate frequently with scientists and will be responsible for hands‑on development of applications and web tools. Core responsibilities include:

  • Using Python, DataIKU, and SQL for data science tasks such as data manipulation, building web frameworks, creating data visualizations, and applying machine learning
  • Developing and deploying imaging data collection and analysis monitoring databases
  • Building web applications (including Shiny‑style tools) to track operations and data quality
