We represent a Boutique Asset Management firm in Stamford, CT that needs to hire a Software Developer.


About this role:

  • 4 days a week on-site in Stamford, CT (Mon-Thurs) (Remote on Fridays)
  • Compensation includes a base salary (dependent on experience) + 20% Bonus + Benefits


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Developer to design, build, and support proprietary applications that power core business functions across investment research, portfolio management, portfolio accounting, compliance, and investor relations.


This individual will play a key role in modernizing and enhancing our application ecosystem, working closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions. The role requires strong full-stack development expertise, sound architectural judgment, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced investment management environment.


Core Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications
  • Architect and implement scalable .NET Core Web APIs and Angular front-end applications
  • Build custom reports, dashboards, and automated file exports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and manage automated job scheduling and process workflows
  • Collaborate with business analysts and end-users to gather and refine requirements
  • Document existing systems and contribute to future-state architecture planning
  • Create deployment scripts and support application release processes
  • Provide ongoing support, enhancements, and performance optimization
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of enterprise application frameworks and standards


Required Technical Qualifications

  • Advanced experience with:
  • C#
  • .NET 8+ and .NET Core Web API
  • Angular
  • Strong SQL expertise with experience optimizing queries and database design
  • Proficiency with Entity Framework and/or Dapper
  • Experience building secure, scalable CRUD-based enterprise applications
  • Experience implementing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
  • Experience with SignalR or real-time messaging frameworks
  • Experience with reporting platforms such as SSRS, Power BI, or comparable tools


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with multithreading and asynchronous programming patterns
  • Familiarity with RabbitMQ or other message queue frameworks
  • Experience using third-party UI component libraries (e.g., Infragistics)
  • Scripting experience with PowerShell and/or Python
  • TypeScript proficiency

  • Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Ability to document systems, processes, and technical designs clearly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
