About The Role
As a Golang Software Engineer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and enhancing scalable backend services that power a global customer experience platform. You will be a valued member of an Agile Scrum team and work collaboratively with engineers across distributed teams to deliver high-quality, resilient solutions.

- Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Golang, Java, and modern backend technologies
- Build and enhance features within the account and customer experience domain
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and asynchronous messaging integrations (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by ensuring code quality through automated testing and deployment practices

What You Need To Have To Be Considered
- 6+ years of experience
- Hands-on experience in Golang and Java for backend development.
- Strong experience building microservices and working with distributed architectures
- Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) delivering end-to-end features
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with gRPC, GraphQL, and containerization technologies such as Docker
- Strong understanding of databases such as PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, Jira, Git)
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks
- Familiarity with software engineering methodologies such as Agile, SAFe, or BDD
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
