Account Executive

Location: San Fernando, CA
Department: Sales
Job Type: Executive
Salary Range: $95,000-$110,000 (Compensation is based on experience, skills, education, certifications)

The Account Executive uses a consultative sales approach and technical food science knowledge to grow and manage assigned accounts and territories. This role oversees the full sales lifecycle, working closely with customers and internal R&D teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs and project goals. The position requires discretion in handling confidential business information, strong customer focus, and the ability to drive projects to completion.
Key Responsibilities

  • Drive year-over-year revenue growth through strategic account and territory management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand customer needs and challenges
  • Partner with internal R&D teams to develop customized solutions and manage project execution
  • Manage the full sales process from prospecting through post-sale support
  • Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, and industry events
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and internal teams
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competition, and regulatory developments
  • Travel extensively (50%+) to support customer and business needs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in food science or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of strategic sales experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle
  • Ability to report to company facilities as needed, sometimes on short notice
