Advanced Embedded Software Engineer - C/C++(Aerospace)

This role will actively contribute to the development of certification and compliance strategies with industry standards (DO-178).
You will work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. No relocation offered.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design and implementation of complex datalink software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across CMF and FMS datalink features.
- Familiarity with standard avionics hardware platforms.
- Lead integration and verification testing activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software bugs and defects.
- Participate in peer reviews, design reviews and documentation activities for certification.
- Collaborate across various functional and global engineering and project engineering teams.
- Travel within U.S. and/or Internationally: 10%
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
- At least 5 years of Software Engineering experience.
- Proficient experience in C languages as well as higher level languages.
- Proven experience in datalink communications systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience with ARINC 664, CPDLC or FANS datalink communication systems.
- Experience with Aerospace, Airsim, Multisim, MATLAB, Teamcenter, DOORS, JIRA
- Working knowledge of industry standard communication protocols (ARINC, MIL-STD-1553, CAN)
- Lab experience testing and verifying requirements of systems and software.
- Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done.
- Ability to adapt dictated by project changes.
- Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
- Diverse thoughts and ideas; and experience teaming and collaboration with global Engineers.
- An understanding of data and networking structures, protocols and apply analytical problem-solving methods.
